I have mentioned a few times how Afrochic is more of a lifestyle than just fashion alone? That includes food, music, the way of living and thinking.

Last year during Africa Fashion Week London, I met this soup brand called Red-Red.

I was intrigued as the packaging was just so colorful and as soon as they mentioned, inspired by Africa.

So far, we have pre-made noodles, pasta, pizza, curries, but we are yet to have any African soup, stew or any taste I grew up eating easily available in the supermarkets despite how delicious they are.

Even jerk chicken or Jollof rice that are now very popular in the Uk, especially in London are yet to be made easily available and on the go.

So,  a few weeks later,  I was pleased when the Red Red team send me one of their trio box of stew. In all honesty, it was the best food packaging I have never seen. it is just very creative and they are the type of cup you want to keep as they are quite sturdy and colorful as you can see.

As they describe it Red Red stews mixed up the energy of Africa with vegan vibes and fast-paced London lifestyles, Red Red is a mouthwatering meal pot that cooks up the kind of kicks you wouldn’t have thought possible in just seven minutes. They bring the heat and brings it with goodness: every pot is made using only plant-based, vegan, gluten-free ingredients and no nastiness.

For every Red Red pot, they sell, they donate 12p to Farm Africa, an international development charity which reduces poverty by helping farmers in eastern Africa to grow more, sell more and sell for more. Through Farm Africa, rural families can grow their incomes while also protecting their local environment for generations to come.

And Chef of these stews, Zoe Adjonyoh of zoesghanakitchen.co.uk began life in Hackney in 2011 as a series of sold-out upper clubs. Before long, Zoe found herself heading up kitchen residencies across London and Berlin, a restaurant in Brixton and now her very own cookbook.

The stylist and fashion designer Samson Soboye was the stylist of their commercial. Remember the article about him I wrote a while ago? Read HERE
