Fashion for Africa competition and pop up;
The pop up was last Friday in the popular China Town. It was all about Discovering African designers and creatives at the one-day event in the heart of the West End. With the entry being free, it meant: shopping to the max, networking with fellow artists, and entertainment at the African themed reception.
Above, I had the pleasure to meet Shelly, the Editor in Chief of Black Beauty & Hair magazine.
Now my plan and ambition are to have my work on the cover of the magazine. (A girl can dream, right?) Considering my work will have to be the best, stand out and just be what they are looking for. So please have me in your prayers (Pretty please!)
During the Fashion for Africa competition and pop up, I styled one the contestant in Massabi designs. A brand I actually discovered when styled the SCREENS NATION AWARDS . Remember the motivational speech of Idris Elba during the event? Watch HERE if you haven’t.
With the main event coming up on the 14th of September, the contestants have started practicing their poses and expressions. So having them on the pop up and make them try the designers clothings was vital.
