The Royal Academy of Arts turned 250 years this year. And recently, I do call myself an artist…A lot (This can be argued another time).
So For the first time, a few weeks ago, I visited the Royal Academy of Arts thanks to my friend Violeta Sofia who is actually exhibiting at the Royal Academy of Arts.

If my approach to this article sounds a little simplistic, let me break it down:
Violeta Sofia is a fashion photographer and a University lecturer. Together, we have worked on countless projects. And In addition, her other passion is Art.
This year she took the leap and submitted her work at the Royal Academy Of Arts.
The first round of selection from digital images of artworks, from which the judges shortlisted up to 4,000 entries to be delivered to the Academy for the final round. And phew… Violeta made it through to the first round. And we later found out that, they were initially 19 000 entries.
At this point, it felt like a massive push already. Then weeks went by, and she found out her work was selected for the showcase. ‘Handpicked’ is actually the right word, for the final 1,300 artworks that are currently on display and up for sale now and throughout this Summer.
And to add to the good news, Violeta artwork is hanging not far from Banksy’s that was initially rejected by the Royal Academy of Art.
